This illustration – a photograph reproduced as a lithograph? – seems like it would have been made from the then-new Empire State Building looking north-east, as that’s about the only vantage from which to capture the Chrysler Building in the center, and the Queensboro Bridge crossing the East River over Roosevelt Island in the background.
